Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Scotts Valley, CA. As an integral part of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently!

Position Details:

• Title: Accountant
• Location: Scotts Valley, CA
• Pay Rate: $150,000 annually
• Schedule: Full-time or Part-time, Monday – Friday
• Start Date: ASAP
• Status: Potential temp-to-hire

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations
• Prepare financial statements and reports accurately and timely
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and local regulations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve financial performance
• Support audits and ensure accurate documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
