Description The Part-Time Staff Accountant will support our accounting operations by assisting in financial reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers a flexible schedule of 24-30 hours per week, making it ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance while applying their expertise in accounting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Execute monthly account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including cash, assets, and liabilities. Assist in preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking. Support payroll processing and tax filings, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations. Assist with year-end audits by gathering documentation and providing support to auditors. Monitor budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide accurate financial data to management. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, demonstrating expertise in financial operations. - Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Strong skills in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts. - Experience preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close procedures. - Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP. - Ability to generate and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. - Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance regulations. - Excellent organizational and analytical skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
