Job Description

Description We are looking for a talented and imaginative Animator to contribute to a creative video project in San Francisco, California. This short-term project is focused on enhancing a short video featuring faculty members sharing joyful stories. The ideal candidate will bring these narratives to life through expressive, hand-drawn animations integrated seamlessly into live-action footage. Responsibilities: - Develop hand-drawn animation overlays that visually complement and enhance faculty members' stories, such as illustrating a globe for travel anecdotes or historical figures for storytelling. - Collaborate with the video production team to integrate animations seamlessly into live-action footage using Adobe Premiere Pro. - Ensure the animations align with the tone and message of the video, which is joyful, educational, and community-focused. - Review and refine animations based on feedback to meet creative and technical standards. - Work within a flexible timeline to accommodate additional footage as it becomes available. Requirements - At least 3 years of experience in hand-drawn animation and a strong portfolio showcasing your work. - Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and experience integrating animations into live-action video projects. - A creative and imaginative approach to visual storytelling, with the ability to match the tone of an educational and uplifting video. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to incorporate feedback effectively. - Bonus: Familiarity with educational or documentary-style video production. - Strong skills in 2D animation, character animation, and creating engaging animated characters.
