Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Albany, NY(onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Qualification:
- Extensive experience in requirements elicitation, business analysis, and validation-translating business needs, expectations, constraints, and system interfaces into actionable technical requirements. Skilled in delivering comprehensive documentation in the form of textual narratives, visual models, and graphical illustrations covering all phases of the SDLC: system design, requirements, testing, and implementation.
- Proven ability to work under project manager supervision to facilitate effective communication and follow-up with diverse stakeholders, including program leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), process owners, and IT staff. Successfully conducted and supported JAD/JRP sessions to drive task ownership and accountability.
- Experienced in applying Agile methodologies and various business analysis techniques to derive and document user stories from business requirements. Maintained critical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle, including use cases, fit-gap analyses, process flows, mockups, wireframes, sequence diagrams, impact and feasibility analyses, and change control procedures. Actively tracked and reported on risks, inconsistencies, and issues throughout the design, requirements gathering, testing, and UAT phases.
- Adept at defining evaluation, validation, and deliverable acceptance criteria ('Done' criteria). Responsible for managing requirements scope, tracking key decisions, tracing requirement completion, and securing formal approvals and commitment from project stakeholders. Addressed and resolved requirements inconsistencies through coordination with business and IT teams.
- Hands-on experience with multiple testing methodologies, including functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and UAT. Authored and executed test cases, test procedures, and test cycles. Performed manual and automated testing using tools like Selenium. Effectively tracked and resolved defects, communicated test results, and validated deliverables for sign-off based on requirements traceability.
- Provided business analysis and testing support for cross-functional, cloud-based solutions, including platforms such as gov.grants, Salesforce, and Outsystems.
- Supported legacy systems modernization, data migration, and infrastructure upgrade initiatives involving both cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions and custom-developed applications. Contributed to process improvements, system configurations, incident troubleshooting, and overall quality assurance.
- Proficient in utilizing Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence for task management, documentation, and collaboration.
- Experienced in standardizing business analysis processes, including requirements gathering, RFP/RFQ writing, grants management procedures, review/approval mechanisms, and implementation of SOPs for documentation control and versioning in a fast-paced project environment.
- Well-versed in a variety of business analysis and testing tools and platforms, including Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, Project, Power Automate, Dynamics, Salesforce, DocuSign, Tableau, COGNOS, TFS, HP Quality Center, Selenium, Zephyr, and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
