Concierge/Front Desk Agent

Description:

To deliver friendly, professional service, ensuring guest satisfaction when checking guests in and out of the hotel. Assist future and present guests in planning vacation and selling show and attraction tickets for their Branson vacation.

Essential Functions:

• Register guests, assign rooms, and accommodate special requests whenever possible
• Sell and book show and attraction tickets for guests' pre-arrival and on-property. * EARN EXTRA MONEY IN COMMISSIONS! *
• Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
• Assist in booking and selling reservations on inbound and outbound campaigns and promotions
• Assist in call campaigns to sell incoming guests show and attraction tickets pre-arrival
• Interact with guests in such accommodating and positive ways that they would be willing to provide a 5-star review
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the room types, rates, packages, and booking procedures.
• Notify housekeeping of all late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.
• Have strong desire to maintain positive and professional communications with all departments
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the Front Desk area and lobby.
• Report all incidents of guest dissatisfaction to the Front Office Supervisor or Manager.
• Prepare key packets and registration cards and include all materials to be distributed at check-in.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of all office machines, computers, fax machines, etc.
• Will perform other duties as required

Education and Experience High school diploma or GED or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Knowledge

• Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the audience's needs.
• Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
• Customer and Personal Service - Must have a strong desire to accommodate guests' needs and ability to build quick rapport with guests

Requirements

• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work evening shifts over weekends and holidays as scheduled by the supervisor.
• Must have reliable transportation.
