The 36th Judicial District Juvenile Probation Department is currently seeking dedicated, compassionate, and forward-thinking individuals for the role of Juvenile Probation Officer .

As a Juvenile Probation Officer, you'll do more than manage caseloads—you’ll become a mentor, advocate, and change agent for at-risk youth across our five-county district. Your day-to-day will include conducting insightful interviews, applying motivational interviewing techniques, and crafting individualized plans to guide juveniles toward healthier, more productive paths.

Work Location
Juvenile Probation Officers may be assigned to serve in any of our district offices —ensuring placement where their skills and support are most needed. With offices located in Rockport, Aransas Pass, Sinton, Beeville, Mathis, and George West , our team is deeply rooted in the communities we serve, making meaningful impact throughout the five-county district.

What You’ll Do:

• Engage directly with youth to inspire positive behavioral changes.
• Utilize your expertise in social work and report writing to monitor progress and ensure accountability.
• Collaborate with community services and support networks to create lasting impact.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• Preferred: 1+ year of experience in juvenile justice or a similar area.
• A strong sense of integrity, empathy, and commitment to youth development.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary starting at $4,583.33/month , or higher depending on experience.
