Job Description: Manager, Digital Content About the National Alliance for Caregiving: Since 1996, the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) has been a catalyst for change, transforming how the United States recognizes, supports, and values our nation’s 53 million family caregivers providing complex care. Through our nationally recognized research and our advocacy for the first-ever National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers, we drive the policy, system, and culture change needed to make family caregivers a national priority. With more than 50 members, we build partnerships across aging, disability, healthcare, philanthropy, and the private sector to make caregiving more sustainable, equitable, and dignified. About the Role: NAC seeks a creative and strategic digital content manager to lead our social media and digital communications efforts. This role is ideal for a skilled storyteller with a strong background in policy and advocacy who can craft compelling content, manage digital campaigns, and enhance NAC’s online presence to advance our mission. The Digital Content Manager will oversee NAC’s social media channels, manage newsletters, and track performance metrics to inform future strategies. This position plays a key role in executing NAC’s digital communications strategy and supporting major yearly initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Manage NAC's social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook). Draft and share social media content, including copy and graphics. Build and maintain a comprehensive social media calendar. Develop and build digital campaigns to support key NAC priorities and programs. Create social media toolkits to support NAC initiatives and campaigns such as Cancer Caregiving Collaborative, National Family Caregivers Month, and Caregiver Nation Summit. Draft copy, design layout, and distribute for our biweekly newsletter and blog series. Maintain media tracking and social media metrics for reporting on grant/funder deliverables. Support the development of policy and advocacy-relevant messaging. Support content development across programs including talking points, social media copy and graphics, websites, etc. Update website, as needed: Manage the external vendor relationship with the webmaster and graphic designer. Provide support for virtual and in-person events. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in public policy, communications, or a related field. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in digital content creation, social media management, or communications. Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences. Experience managing multiple social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social). Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact). Ability to track digital analytics and use insights to inform content strategy. Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva) are a plus. Experience working in health advocacy, caregiving, and nonprofit sectors a plus. Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance, with employee contribution. Life and Disability Insurance; no employee share required. Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for health-related purchases and/or dependent care. Monthly stipend for mobile phone usage. 15 Days of Paid Time Off annually, accrued biweekly; prorated in first year to start date. 5 Paid Sick Days, prorated to start date and immediately available. Caregiving Support and Specialized Leave, including paid leave related to family and medical needs, bereavement leave, and other types of workplace accommodations, subject to state and local laws. Paid Federal Holidays and Winter Holiday (Office closed 12/24–12/31). Paid Monthly WMATA Smart Benefits or paid parking up to $130/monthly. Flex-time and hybrid work scheduling available; strong preference for a candidate local to the Washington, DC area.
