Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with process and manufacturing teams to implement the NAM Primary Packaging Roadmap.
  • Conduct research to identify suitable sustainable packaging products for local implementation, including coordinating laboratory testing.
  • Work with manufacturing, process, and procurement teams to implement new sustainable materials.
  • Lead local teams to ensure comprehensive project implementation.
  • Assist with label changes, warehouse modifications, and workstation adjustments as needed.
  • Research and procure new fixtures, tools, and workstations for projects.
  • Conduct 3F and assist with FAIR reporting.
  • Provide hypercare for newly implemented sustainable materials and address any issues.
  • Report project updates to the PP/PS Sustainability team.
  • Analyze financial impacts per project, including cost and cycle time analysis.
  • Assist with XFMEA analysis and modifications to work instructions.
  • Document technical specifications of the packaging process, including layouts and workload balancing.
  • Ensure alignment of assembly process deliverables with global practices.
  • Coordinate equipment installations and validations as required.
  • Obtain plant acceptance and provide final sign-off on project deliverables in accordance with Schneider Performance System principles.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of shipping and packaging processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP production software.
  • Experience in project management and problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a multicultural virtual environment across various functions (design engineering, purchasing, quality, marketing, finance, mfg operations and others).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of verification and validation processes for new product development.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineering.
  • Experience with component replenishment, Kanban, and material handling tasks.
  • Familiarity with new product development environments and stage gate processes.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering and packaging/shipping processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in packaging / shipping processes and related equipment.
