You will expertly apply program rights and regulations, utilize behavior modification techniques, and communicate with patients in a therapeutic and appropriate manner, driving meaningful progress. + **Guiding the Healing Journey:** Playing a key role in the admission process by warmly orienting patients and their families (or significant others) to the unit and our comprehensive program, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition into care. + **Delivering Essential Care:** Performing crucial direct patient care tasks including diligent patient safety rounds, accurate vital sign monitoring (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations), precise specimen collection, timely accu-checks, weight measurements, and assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote comfort and dignity. **Job Requirements** + **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent required. + **Experience:** At least 1 year of experience in a mental health or direct patient care setting is strongly preferred. + **Certification:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire. + **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, etc.). + Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Assistant or Nurse Aide training program. + One year of dedicated experience in the Behavioral Health field. + Certification as a Mental Health Technician. **Where You'll Work** Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility. **Pay Range** $16.83 - $23.77 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
