**Microbiology Lab Technician-Oklahoma City, OK** **Contract-to-Hire** **Schedule:** Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM **Pay Rate:** $18 per hour Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth, starting in our Sample Preparation department, with potential for cross-training in other areas over time. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great fit for you. **Key Responsibilities:** + Maintain accurate records of all quality activities as per Operating Procedures and test methods. + Handle samples and conduct analyses according to established Operating Procedures and test methods. + Maintain and verify laboratory equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly. + Report any equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor. + Identify and document nonconformities using Corrective Action Requests. + Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. + Execute tasks and responsibilities to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction. + Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards. + Demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a commitment to the quality system and continuous improvement. + Promote and maintain a positive team environment. + Adhere to all company policies and procedures. + Perform additional duties as assigned by Technical Management. **Qualifications:** + Associates degree (A.A./A.S.) or higher + Must be able to stand for extended periods of time + Must be able to routinely lift 20-30 pounds and be comfortable with handling hot liquids. + Experience with Windows PC and Microsoft Office + Able to calculate basic math + Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. + Commitment to maintaining quality standards and continuous improvement. + Experience working in fast-paced environments is a plus.
