We are seeking an Expert/Guru-level Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PL/SQL development , with a strong understanding of relational database design, optimization, and performance tuning . This is a highly technical, hands-on coding role requiring deep Oracle database programming experience in complex enterprise environments.
Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
Analyze and optimize existing PL/SQL code for performance and maintainability.
Work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Support data integration and migration projects involving large data sets.
Conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
Ensure data integrity and quality through efficient database procedures.
Expert-level PL/SQL programming with minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience.
Deep knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases .
Strong understanding of database design, indexing strategies, and query optimization .
Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications .
Experience with Oracle performance tuning tools and techniques (Explain Plan, AWR, SQL Trace, etc.)
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts , ETL processes is a plus.
Experience with Oracle Apex or other front-end integration tools (optional).
Exposure to working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with Unix/Linux scripting and job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database code deployment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong attention to detail and accountability.
Flexible and adaptable to new challenges.
