Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Van Ewing Construction, Inc. is looking for a top-tier Project Manager who wants responsibility, authority, and accountability. This is not a support role. This is a leadership position for someone who knows how to run work, drive results, and take ownership from start to finish.

The Role

You will be fully responsible for the performance of your projects. Success is measured by schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction .

  • Own commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Control schedules, budgets, submittals, subcontract administration, and safety compliance
  • Lead OAC and subcontractor meetings with authority and clarity
  • Be the primary decision-maker and point of contact for owners, architects, and trade partners
  • Track progress aggressively and solve problems before they impact the job
  • Direct Superintendents and field teams to maintain production and accountability
  • Manage project finances, including job costs, change orders, rentals, and forecasting
  • Partner with the estimating team to develop accurate, competitive bids
What It Takes

This role is for experienced professionals who can perform under pressure:

  • Minimum 3 years managing commercial construction projects
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Strong leadership and communication skills—you can lead tough conversations
  • Advanced understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and sequencing
  • Solid OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety
  • Strong computer and project management skills
  • High work ethic and willingness to put in the time required to win
  • Able to physically access active construction sites
  • Willing to live in Gillette, WY

This is a full-time leadership role . Monday–Friday, 45+ hours/week. Occasional weekends and out-of-town travel as required. Pre-employment drug testing required.
