Shift: 5x8-Hour Mid Shifts (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join the healthcare team within a correctional facility setting in Romulus, New York . The RN will play a key role in providing direct and supervisory nursing care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring the highest standard of medical and mental health support within a secure environment.

Schedule & Contract DetailsShift: 5x8-Hour Mid (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Duration: 26–52 weeks (extensions possible)
Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
Orientation: Provided on-site prior to start
Start Timeline: Clearance process required prior to start (may take up to 4 weeks)
Coordinate and provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans
Diagnose and treat responses to actual or potential health problems
Provide health education, counseling, and restorative care
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in compliance with facility protocols
Offer clinical supervision and training to Graduate Nurses, LPNs, and support staff
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and participate in care planning meetings
Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
Experience: Previous correctional, acute care, or behavioral health experience preferred
Clearance: Must pass state-run Criminal History Check prior to assignment (processing may take up to 4 weeks)
Certifications:
BLS (AHA) required
COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only accepted)
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to work effectively in a high-security environment
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Compassionate and professional bedside manner
