Job Description

The focus of the Vehicle Integration domain and its teams is making the vision of an autonomously driving mobility service a reality. These teams develop the applications and tools needed to enable autonomous passenger management within our MOIA vehicles in a world without a driver: How do passengers authenticate themselves in the vehicle without a driver? How to always ensure a safe cabin during boarding and during the ride? Which content should be displayed on the vehicle screens to provide a safe and informative user experience for passengers?

The Vehicle Mission team is taking care of synchronizing the planned destinations for a vehicle between our backend and the devices inside the vehicle and coordinating the execution of the mission. This includes especially orchestrating the actions needed inside the vehicle to authenticate and board the passengers, drive them to their destination, and ensure a safe and smooth ride experience. We do this for our manually driven fleet operating in Hamburg and Hanover and our upcoming autonomous fleet. For the latter, we are also building and integrating embedded components running inside the vehicle.

What you will do

  • Take the ownership of the product the team is building:
    • Define, priorities and align the product roadmap of the team
    • Break down the roadmap into workable pieces for the team
    • Provide product vision and direction to the team
  • Ensure meaningful collaboration with OEM & technology partners as well as suppliers
  • Identify and analyze the needs of future fleet operators and customers through user research and translate these insights into technical solutions
  • Build, test, measure, and enhance features based on KPI´s and feedback to meet the customer and company goals in a lean way
  • Define interface logic for operators to integrate fleet management tools towards a vehicle system
  • Elaborate legal requirements and boundaries towards possible solutions
  • Collaborate closely with development teams within MOIA and our partners
  • Define requirements towards OEM’s base vehicle functions
  • Get involved in shaping the vision and way forward of our products within the domain and beyond

  • Agilist: In-depth knowledge and experience in the application of agile values and principles and willingness to apply these to the needs of complex, dynamic and ever-changing environments, also with your partners from different industries
  • Industry experience: First experience in the automotive industry or other highly regulated industries, further experience with standards such as ISO 26262 is a plus
  • Visionary: You like to see the full picture, craft compelling visions for your ideas and understand what makes your internal products viable (or not)
  • Pragmatist: You proved that you get things done, identify problems and are effective in prioritising challenges to unblock yourself, your team and others
  • Fluent communication in English is required, German is a plus
