Job Description

Our client, a pharmaceutical advertising agency is seeking Medical Editors to support their medical communications team on a part-time, freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in medical editing and be highly proficient in AMA style. This role requires availability during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Responsibilities:

Edit and proofread a variety of medical and scientific content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and adherence to AMA style
Ensure accuracy of scientific terminology and data presentation
Collaborate with medical writers, designers, and project managers to maintain high editorial standards
Perform quality control checks on slide decks, manuscripts, reports, and other medical communications

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in medical editing
Strong command of AMA Manual of Style
Experience in medical communications, pharmaceutical, or healthcare settings preferred
Ability to work 25–30 hours per week during EST business hours
