The University of Alaska Southeast invites applications for the administrative assistant position in Student Government. We are seeking applicants who would thrive in a student-centered, high energy, positive work environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong interpersonal communication, customer service, and general office skills. The successful candidate would be supporting: student clubs and organizations; student government; student events and activities; and co-curricular student leadership programming. As part of the broader Campus Life team, the successful applicant will work in a highly collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Preferred experience: Graphic and web development/design & participation in or experience with student government and/or student activities, clubs, and organizations.Position Details:
This position is located on the UAS campus in Juneau. This is a part-time 40 hrs. per pay period during the academic year (9-months), non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 77, based on education and experience.
