Job Description

Embark on a rewarding journey as a Registered Nurse in PACU in Bay City, Michigan, where your expertise in recovery nursing fuels safer, smoother transitions from the operating room to the next steps of healing. In this role, you’ll monitor emergence from anesthesia, fine‑tune airway and breathing, manage pain and hemodynamics, and partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes. Your calm, precise clinical judgment will reassure patients and families in moments of vulnerability, while you lead by example for teammates navigating fast-paced recovery environments. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to shape the patient experience and advance the specialty you care about, one careful assessment at a time. Separately, you’ll discover Michigan’s beauty—from the sparkling shores of the Great Lakes and the scenic drives along quiet river towns to lush forests and vibrant city life across the state—offering memorable off‑shift moments that enrich your career journey.

Michigan’s landscape awaits your exploration, but here in Bay City you’ll enjoy convenient access to medical networks, community services, and an inviting local culture that embraces nurses and clinicians. This location also positions you for broader opportunities across the United States, with the potential to experience diverse facilities and patient populations on short‑term assignments when you choose. Benefits of working in this location include access to skilled colleagues, robust hospital systems, and a supportive environment where your professional growth is encouraged and celebrated.

In this PACU role, you’ll be responsible for: continuous monitoring of post‑anesthesia patients as they wake, ensuring airway patency and stability, adjusting analgesia and antiemetic plans, and recognizing and responding to complications; collaborating with anesthesia and surgical teams to coordinate timely recovery milestones; documenting patient status and care plans clearly in records; facilitating safe discharges with appropriate instructions and referrals; leading or contributing to handoffs and debriefings to maintain continuity of care; and engaging in ongoing quality improvement initiatives that enhance recovery protocols and patient safety. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your PACU expertise through evidence‑based practices, specialized certifications, and potential leadership tracks as the unit grows and evolves. We emphasize a comprehensive bundle of benefits: competitive pay with a weekly range of $1,853-$1,865, a sign‑on bonus, housing assistance, and the possibility of contract extensions to fit your career plans. You’ll also receive robust, 24/7 support while traveling with the company, ensuring you’re never alone on the road and always connected to a trusted resource.

Our company is grounded in values that empower staff to thrive. We’re committed to your career advancement within a collaborative, respectful environment that prioritizes professional development, mentorship, and work‑life balance. You’ll find a culture that recognizes your expertise, nurtures your growth, and supports you as you expand your impact across PACU and perioperative care.

Ready to take the next step? Apply today to join a company that values your contribution, accelerates your growth, and shares in your success as you deliver compassionate, high‑quality recovery care. Start Date: 01/05/2026. Contract duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,853-$1,865. Guaranteed Hours: 36.0 per week. Please note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
