Job Description

Job Title: UX/UI Designer

Location: Jacksonville, FL, United States

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: 8–15 Years

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or similar
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, design systems, and component-based design
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies for collaboration: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular
  • Experience designing for accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG compliance)
  • Exposure to user testing, A/B testing, and analytics tools such as Hotjar and Google Analytics

Functional Skills

  • Proven experience in modernizing legacy enterprise applications (web and/or mobile)
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive and elegant user experiences
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, QA, and business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to justify design decisions using data and user feedback
  • Proficient in user-centered design thinking and problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate & Analyze: Review existing UI/UX designs and workflows to identify usability issues and opportunities for modernization
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business users to understand goals, needs, and pain points
  • Tech Team Partnership: Work closely with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and scalable
  • Design Execution: Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs
  • Modernization Strategy: Develop a UX/UI roadmap aligned with current trends and adaptable to future needs
  • Design Standards & Systems: Build or refine UI design systems to ensure consistency across applications
  • Advocacy: Promote design thinking across teams and educate stakeholders on UX best practices
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and technologies to enhance the design process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise-level design systems
  • Familiarity with Agile or iterative development environments
  • Background in usability testing and data-driven design decisions
