As a public employer, employees participate in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS).** **_Required Qualifications:_** **Radiology - Meets one of the following criteria:** + **Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with an advanced certification in Sonography (Abdominal and OB/GYN).** + **Possess the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with specialties in Abdomen (AB) or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN).** + **Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and registered by the ARDMS within 1 year of employment with an AB or OB/GYN specialty.** + **Registration in the following specialties must be obtained within 3 years of employment: OB/GYN, Abdominal, and Pediatric*** + **Valid BLS Certification from the AHA or obtains within the standard probationary period.** + **Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.** + **Required - OB/GYN Registry-eligible with the ARDMS, including completing a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography training program.** + **Must possess a RDMS credential from ARDMS with a specialty in Obstetrics within 6 months of employment.** + **Must possess or obtain within 12 months of employment one or more OB-specific certifications including the Nuchal Translucency (NT) from the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) or Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR).** ***Note: Technologists NOT assigned a rotation to the main hospital ultrasound department are exempted from the Pediatric requirement.** **_Preferred Qualifications:_** + **None** **_Physical Requirements:_** + **May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.** + **May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.** + **May need to sit or stand for extended periods.** + **See in the normal visual range with or without correction.** + **Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.**
