The State Comptroller’s Office is responsible for advising The Adjutant General on all financial resources appropriated to the California Military Department (CMD) by the State Legislature, the Federal Government under reimbursable agreements, and other reimbursements available to the California Military Department (CMD) for California National Guard and other related activities. The Office consists of five groups:
Accounting Branch, Administration, Budget Section, Contracting/Purchasing Branch, and Emergency Finance Section.
Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator, I (Supervisor), Travel and Utility Desk, the Accounting Officer (Specialist) is responsible for performing the most technical functions of accounting assignments of average difficulty to analyze and reconcile financial data for the maintenance of accounts, records, expenditure transactions, and general ledgers within the Financial Information System for California (Fi$Cal). The incumbent is responsible with the Department’s travel desk functions to process, review, and analyze Travel Expense Claim (TEC’s), maintain travel accounts in the California Automated Travel Expense Reimbursement System (CalATERS).
