Job Title: Business Analyst
Place of Performance: 89 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12234 (50% remote work allowed)
Minimum Experience: 7+ years (84 months)
Rate: $37/hr - $61/hr (Final offer will depend on experience)
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 30 Months

Position Overview:
GD Resources is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to support a long-term, large-scale modernization initiative focused on optimizing operations and streamlining workflows through the implementation of enhanced technical solutions. This role will require close collaboration with both business and technical teams to ensure successful planning, analysis, documentation, and testing throughout the lifecycle of complex IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with business units to document current and future processes, system requirements, and project goals.
  • Develop detailed business requirements, process flows, use cases, mockups, wireframes, and other project artifacts.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to assess existing systems and business needs, and propose improvements through modernized solutions.
  • Support both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies by maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation across project phases.
  • Create user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, test plans, and system documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, PMO, and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment on goals and deliverables.
  • Contribute to RFP/RFQ development and support overall project tracking, reporting, and milestone management.
  • Lead or assist in quality assurance activities, including test planning, test execution, and requirements validation.
  • Maintain full traceability of requirements across the project lifecycle and manage scope changes appropriately.
  • Gain subject matter expertise and assist in the successful transition from paper-based to electronic workflows.
Qualifications:
  • 84 months of experience using business analysis techniques within various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • 84 months of experience in defining ‘Done’ criteria, tracing requirements, and managing documentation changes.
  • 84 months of experience in planning and executing functional, regression, integration, UAT, and other test phases.
  • 72 months of experience supporting cloud-based platforms like Salesforce, Dynamics, SharePoint, Tableau, etc.
  • 84 months of experience conducting stakeholder engagement and facilitating JAD/JRP sessions under project supervision.
  • 84 months of experience supporting legacy system migrations, cloud infrastructure upgrades, and custom/COTS implementations.
  • 72 months of experience converting manual workflows into digital processes with case/incident management features.
  • 84 months of experience in RFP/RFQ creation, requirements standardization, version control, and SOP implementation.
  • 84 months of experience using tools such as Visio, SharePoint, Jira/Confluence, Tableau, COGNOS, HP QC, Selenium, and TFS.
