Job Description



The Cloud Engineer Intern will work under the Manager, Cloud Security and join our DevSecOps team. You will gain hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure and supporting automation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Help monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and anomalies.
  • Support the configuration and operation of basic cloud security tools (e.g., WAF, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners).
  • Help analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify suspicious activity.
  • Participate in routine security audits and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement secure configurations in AWS environments.
  • Contribute to documentation of security procedures and incident response strategies.
  • Learn and apply scripting skills (e.g., Python) to automate security tasks.
  • Shadow team members during incident response exercises and sprint planning sessions.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's program in CS, Cybersecurity or related field
  • Return to school in Fall 2026 to complete degree
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Interest in cybersecurity and DevOps practices.
