Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated School Counselor to join our team for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range : $39.00-$46.00 per hour

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide comprehensive school counseling services aligned with students’ academic, career, and social-emotional needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate counseling programs that support student well-being and achievement.
• Provide individual and group counseling for students addressing academic concerns, social skills, behavior, mental health, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education teams, and support staff to support student success.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, student support meetings, and parent conferences.
• Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral support strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requirements, IDEA, and FERPA regulations.
• Support students with post-secondary planning, career exploration, and transition services as appropriate.
• Serve as an advocate for students and promote a positive, inclusive school climate.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in School Counseling from an accredited program.
• Valid Pennsylvania School Counselor Certification (issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education).
• Experience working with K–12 students in a school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning, behavioral interventions, and crisis response.
• Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
