As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. What You’ll Do - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for any suspicious activity or potential threats and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
- Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and permissions as required for entry to restricted areas.
- Document and report any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences promptly and accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and local authorities as required during emergencies or incidents.

- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- An Armed Guard Card or License is required; having an Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
