The anticipated salary range for this role is between $88,000.00 and $105,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC MANUBANK offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

JOB SUMMARY:

Jenius Bank is looking for an enthusiastic Analyst, Software Engineer – Data to join our growing data engineering team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to learn and contribute to building data platforms for our credit card products. You’ll work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop data pipelines and support analytics initiatives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and Airflow to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, especially within cloud environments.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data.
  • Maintain and enhance existing ETL/ELT processes, ensuring they align with best practices and business needs.
  • Document data engineering processes and architecture to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or software development.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex data workflows.
• Solid understanding of data engineering practices, including ETL/ELT, data modeling, and pipeline design.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and columnar databases.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow is preferred.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices in a data engineering contextStrong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
