Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and assembly drawings using SolidWorks, with a primary focus on the design and development of complete chassis cabs and various mechanical parts. This role requires strong experience in mechanical design and proficiency in 3D solid modeling. In addition to design work, the engineer will collaborate with the shop floor to verify fit and function, ensuring accurate translation of designs into physical components. Responsibilities + Create detailed 3D models and assembly drawings using SolidWorks. + Focus on the design and development of complete chassis cabs and mechanical parts. + Collaborate with the shop floor to verify fit and function of designs. + Ensure designs are accurately translated into physical components. + Meet project deadlines with accuracy and precision. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks 3D. + Experience with sheet metal and fabricated weldment assemblies. + Experience working on the manufacturing floor to support troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + CSWP certification. + Experience in heavy truck or transportation industries. + PDM Experience. Work Environment This role is based in the engineering building, where the engineer will work alongside other engineers. The majority of the work involves designing at a cubicle with some interaction on the shop floor to ensure correctness and troubleshoot issues. Schedule: + 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday from 6 am to 4 pm. The benefits include six holidays and one week of PTO, along with opportunity to opt in for insurance benefits. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $46.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
